We’re excited to be stocking a fantastic locally produced product. We have in store now a range of bow ties (or bows for the girls), collars (small, medium and large sizes), light and heavy leads as well as harnesses.

Meet Sidney Beagle – he’s our Laughing Dog of the Day. Sidney is 11 years old, but he still enjoys to get about with the less senior members of the crew! In typical Beagle style, Sidney’s nose is often to the ground in serious sniffing mode. Sidney is a bit of a talker – though he never barks – there are plenty of aroorooroo’s! 🙂
Today our Laughing Dog of the Day is the gorgeous Coco a 7 year old Cavoodle. Coco is more into relaxing spa days than workouts – so she enjoyed chilling out in the sun lounge soaking up some rays.
Now in store, we have the Ancestral Mix Kangaroo Recipe Dog Food! This low processed, air dried dog food, has been scientifically developed by an expert Pet Nutritionist from France. The food is produced entirely from human grade locally sourced products. Not only is this food a complete, balanced and healthy diet for your beloved furry family member – it is also designed to give them enjoyment when they are eating, by experiencing different textures throughout their meal. Plus we also have a range of top quality treats.
Meet Fred – he’s a 4 year old Kelpie x Labrador and he’s our Laughing Dog of the Day! He’s a very talkative boy, and enjoys a game of run and chase.
We are pleased to announce that we will be stocking a range of Geeky Paws Pet Accessories – including collars, harnesses, leads and for something different – Bow Ties! We should have the range on display in store next week.

Timmy may be a little dog, but boy is he big on character! Timmy is 18 months old and just oozes cuteness. He had a great day’s play and particularly enjoyed a romp with Duncan Vizsla.
We all enjoyed our time at the Adelaide Animal Expo this weekend talking about our favourite subject…dogs of course! Duncan was in his element enjoying lots of cuddles, pats and sneaking in a cheeky kiss or two!
We were really happy to attend the Expo in conjunction with Bucket O’Beef – a proud South Australian Company providing locally produced and sourced products to keep our pets healthy.
The raffle winner was Taylor Seymour who’s guessed the correct weight of the treat jar at 5.2kgs. Her prize was a giant basket of goodies from Bucket O’Beef valued at over $100.00 and a gift voucher from us for $150.00 for doggy day care. She is welcoming a new pup into her family next week – so fantastic timing!

We met with local pet food company Bucket O’ Beef today to find out what they are doing to produce great foods and treats for our beloved dogs.
They are passionate about providing healthy foods that provide for all the dietary and health requirements of dogs. I was very interested to hear the Nutritionists view that dogs also enjoy the different textures of food – and makes the eating process more enjoyable when they have different sensations throughout their meal. The products they are producing are top quality made primarily (97-98%) with locally produced ingredients and the meat used is human grade.
Bucket O’ Beef, have just launched a new product “Ancestral Mix Kangaroo Recipe”. The food is air dried and is significantly less processed than your traditional dry food. There are no artificial preservatives, fillers, grains, gluten, salt or sugar. Personally we haven’t fed our dogs dry food, due to the highly processed nature of traditional dry food, but this is something different! It has all the convenience of traditional dry food – which we can totally appreciate people needing – but it is low processed – so we don’t need to be concerned about the food loosing it’s true nature. I’m impressed to look at the food and you can really see the pumpkin and green beans – so we’re looking forward to giving it a try on Duncan and Lily.
Our dogs’ normal diet, includes a combination of raw food, like chicken wings and chicken necks and ideally we like to make them a home cooked meat and vegetable meal made especially for them. Like most people though time isn’t always on our side, so we have been confident in replacing our dogs home cooked meal with Gourmet Rolls from Bucket O’ Beef – their favourite is the Classic Beef Dinner. Duncan is a fussy eater and will only eat what he enjoys and he’s not at all food motivated – so we know the food is good if he eats it! Our Hungarian Vizsla’s now are a stark contrast to our Siberian Huskies. You could feed our Huskies anything – nothing could upset their cast iron stomachs, but our Vizsla’s have sensitive tummies and need their food to be high quality to keep them happy and healthy.
Bucket O’ Beef are out there talking to vets, breeders and animal care societies (such as RSPCA, GAP – Greyhound Adoption Program) and listening to what they think great dog food should be and along with the pet food nutritionist they are aiming to produce the best possible foods for our dogs.
